We are not heavy drinkers but we do entertain a lot. On occasion we like to enjoy a drink or two and some of our guests like to indulge a bit more. ;) What should a basic liquor cabinet consist of? *LOL* Sorry :) I meant what kinds/brands. :) I don't have any of children yet, Jimbo, but you can bet your life we'll have a lock on that puppy. It's not that I won't trust them- I know who's genes they have. ;)

where can i go buy a locking liquor cabinet not online i need one right away long story....

I'm looking for a locking cabinet with functionality in mind and not so much looks. The interior needs to have a minimum height of 13 inches. And be able to hold at least 10 bottles. The lock needs to be quite durable, and preferably a latch that allows me to use a traditional pad lock. Price isn't a huge issue, but I'd like to spend under $100. Thanks for all the suggestions. :)

What kinds of liquor and what brands should I have on hand for impromptu parties and casual get-togethers? Are there 3 or 4 bottles I should have at all times? Please suggest a few things that most twenty-something men and women will enjoy.

I'm trying to keep costs low on each product but dont want anything too cheap. My overall goal is to have a basic liquor cabinet stocked at all times for basic parties and such. I'm not much of the mixed drink type nor are any of the people that come over so I'm looking for single products that can be enjoyed straight or with a simple soda mix in some cases. Normally I stock Whiskey to mix with soda or have a few beers around. So yea, what products should I keep around at all times?

I have over 50 different bottles, and many of them are unopened bottles from as long as 30 years ago. Gifts from parties I threw when bringing a bottle of booze was the norm. Thankfully, most of my friends have switched to wine gifting when they visit. How big is your liquor selection, and do you use it?

I'm just wondering whether Grenadine goes bad if it's left opened for a few months. The expiration date says it's good until, November 2011, but I'm still a little bit irky. The Grenadine has been opened already, and it's been sitting in the liquor cabinet since at least spring of last year. Is it still safe to drink, or should I get myself a new bottle? I understand that a well stocked cabinet would have Gin, Vodka, Whiskey, and Rum, but what else would be good to keep on hand to please and surprise people when they want a drink?

My dad has had this 1980 bottle of Dom Perignon that he's kept in the liquor cabinet since he got it. In stead of drinking it he decided to save it for some reason. I know he didn't store it correctly, but I thought I'd ask...is there any way that it's still good?

In the movie 88 minutes there is a black wine rack when Dr. Jack Gramm enters his apartment. It has three refrigerated wine cabinets on the bottom, two X shaped wine racks above, and in the middle a wine glass holder. I saw the movie and really liked this wine rack. Someone please help! I have quality new cabinets w/glass doors that I use for wine glasses. they always have the smell and taste of either the wood or finish. I have put spacers on doors so they are open a slight bit, but doesn't help.

I am looking for something more cost effective, but with similar characteristics of cherry. Thank you.

ive looked at outdoor bars that hold some glasses and have shelves and come with a big umbrella, but cant find any options anywhere! i dont want it to big, just something simple to serve drinks off of and looks nice, but not to expensive, and looks good indoors. I've checked home depot and lowes, bed bath and beyond, and k mart, but no one seems to have anything. any suggestions? its a present for my husband:)

I want a gymnastics bar (able to hold 80 lbs?) that I can use at home to practice skills on. Indoor/outdoor I really don't care, I just want one! I am on the shorter side so it doesn't need to be the biggest bar, but I'd like to be able to use it as I grow. I am open to building one if someone told me how I could (with Dad's help of course, considering I'm only 11). I checked out eBay but it seems that everything is at least $215, I am willing to pay $200 MAX. If there are any stores online, or gymnastics places that would sell me a bar within 50 miles of Darien, CT (06820) I'd really appreciate you telling me. Thank you!
